Gunnery Sargent Larry Maupin returned to QRS Outdoors this year as part of the Combat Marine Outdoors Program hosted the last week of Colorado’s 2018 archery season. With high hopes to harvest his 1st bull elk, guide Carl Moomey and Larry set after the task to try and get it done. Little did Larry know, Larry would have that opportunity the third night of his hunt on a water hole when this bull came in for a drink merely yards away from the blind. One super well placed shot and a quick recovery put a smile on a mans face that can’t ever be washed away!
