Approximately 10,000 total acres, the Rocky Mountain ranch is located in beautiful north central Colorado. Just miles from Walden, Gould and Rand, the Rocky Mountain Ranch finds itself nestled in what locals call North Park. This majestic park offers a spectacular mountain setting with terrain varying from 12,000 feet peaks carved by glaciers, to lush river valleys. The Real American West lives here at the Rocky Mountain Ranch; you will find black bear, mule deer, white tail deer, elk and moose residing on this 10,000 acre piece of heaven. Ranging in elevation from 8,000 to 8,500 feet, you will find yourself immersed in pole timber, aspen pockets, heavy covered bedding areas, and lush hay meadows, which dot the terrain. Known for housing one of the state’s largest residential elk herds, the Rocky Mountain Ranch is also the original ranch Shiras Moose were released on when they were reintroduced to Colorado in the 1980s.

The Rocky Mountain Ranch is situated in north central Colorado. Known as a particular gem in Jackson County, this ranch can be found 8 miles north of Rand, 13 miles southeast of Walden, and 6 miles west of Gould. While nestled deep within Colorado’s most rugged terrain, the ranch itself is relatively flat; providing easy accessibility and game transportation. 60 miles north of Steamboat, 35 miles northwest of Granby, 230 miles northwest of Denver, and 60 miles south of Laramie, WY the Rocky Mountain Ranch maintains its isolation and grandeur while ensuring close proximity to larger metropolitan areas. US Highway 14 provides year-round access to the ranch with private air service in Walden or Steamboat and commercial service in Denver.
